CHRISTIE COMEDY CAPERS

In the Silent era the Big Three of comedy production were Mack Sennett, Hal Roach and Al Christie.

In the 1950's with the never ending appetite for product the two reel Christie comedies were "modernized" into 108 television episodes. As was the way of the times, they eliminated the intertitles, adding music, non-stop narration and sound effects. Luckily, the comedy content was left intact.
