SPACE PATROL - Three Episodes 1952. ABC. Kinescope. Space Patrol was one of the longest running children' shows of the 1950's. It first aired in September of 1950, recorded live on film. It was set in the 30th century, Buzz Corey (Ed Kemmer) Commander of the Space Patrol fights for justice in the name of the United Planets of the Universe. Lyn Osborn was his wise cracking assistant Cadet Happy. Interplanetary Counterfeiters 1953 Counterfeit coins lead them into trouble. This is a especially interesting episode as the announcer tells us there will be a very special announcement later in the show. Well we don't hear the announcement, but there is a shot of the Ralston Rocket with no sound, apparently so the local announcer would tell the kids where it was making an local appearance. Emergency Flight To Mercury 8/9/52 Buzz and Happy have to deliver serum to stop an epidemic. But Happy is kidnapped in an effort to steal the serum. Sabotage Of The Jupiter Run 9/20/52 A dead man is found floating in space, which leads them into in a series of episodes that place them in the midst of a fantastic conspiracy. 75 minutes b/w VHS 10% discount on 3 or more programs www.encorehomevideo.com (989) 652-9699 |
