THIS IS THE LIFE takes you back to England in the late 1940's. You are on the road with Billy Smart's Circus, as they move town to town with a funfair. A behind-the scenes slice of circus life-the overnight moves, practice and more practice, then the big show.

See Olga Strey on her sway-pole, one of Madame Truzzi's Borzoi dogs being exercised and Swami and Shelia performing their knife-throwing act.

COME TO THE CIRCUS the 1948, features the Cirque d'Hiver in Paris. Camilla Mayer can be seen with both her wire and sway-pole acts as well as unique footage of the Fratellinis. From the Bouglione tent show traditional acts - the Liberty Horses, high wire acts, bengal tigers, horses, elephants and even polar bears.
